Main idea
WOL DualBoot is designed so Android behaves like a simple controller for your computer, not as a full administration entry point. The agent publishes concrete actions and Android only shows what that computer allows.
Closed actions
Shutdown, reboot and dual-boot actions can affect the computer. WOL DualBoot therefore uses a closed list of recognizable actions, not commands typed from the phone.
The app only shows the options available for that computer: wake, shut down, reboot or choose an operating system when the configuration allows it.
Credentials
The app does not need operating-system usernames or passwords for the basic actions exposed by the agent. Client tokens must be stored using secure platform storage.
Local network
Normal communication happens between Android and the agent inside your local network. You pair by QR, see the computer status and run only the available actions.
For access away from home, use a network solution you control, such as a VPN. WOL DualBoot does not require exposing the agent directly to the Internet.
